People that "DO" - change the world!? I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you about someone who decided to make a difference. A little over 4 years ago, my partner Phil's nephew, Ethan Clearfield was watching an episode of "Oprah" when he saw a segment on puppy mills, and how one particular rescue right here in Chester Springs, PA was leading the fight against unethical dog breeding that results in animal cruely and pet overpopulation. Well it didn't take long until Ethan came up with a brain storm!
Biscuit Baker-E
as Ethan is now known, is the sole proprietor, owner and head baker of a business he created for his successful fundraising enterprises. With the help of his assistant baker (Mom - Beth Clearfield) He began baking and selling homemade all natural dog biscuits and donating the proceeds to
MLAR (Main Line Animal Rescue).
Four years later, and a whole heap of baking and selling! Ethan and his dog biscuit business has grown into its own little enterprise. He has sold biscuits at local community events like
Northampton Days. He even decided to use his Bar Mitzvah party as an opportunity to further his cause and raise additional funds. I am most impressed by this. He has expanded his sales with the addition of - Puppy Pouches and a variety of other options, he is passionate about helping animals in need and has poured his love for MLAR and animals into a variety of fundraisers. To date Ethan has raised well over $5000 that has been sent to MLAR.
